Interesting Point from Reading
As I was reading Wolfgang's article titled "Construction and interference in learning from multiple representations", I was glad that his first research question for his paper was similar to mine and he has termed the variable which I believe will be useful for my research, 'form of visualization'. I have up until now been unable to settle on a satisfactory term apart from 'visual design' for the visual grammar or structure proposed by Kress and van Leeuwen (1996).
Even more important is that he conclude that more research is needed on the 'forms of visualizations' in order to fully understand how visuals affect learning. Thus this gives me grounds for my research, to fill in this knowledge gap that Wolfgang sees exists.
