Personal Opinions - Survey
One of the reasons why surveys show that students preferred to download word documents for print is that students feel uncomfortable reading from the screen and their reading style differs from print-based materials. They skim read while online. Thus, learning materials should be designed in small 'chunks' at any one time within a screen page to ease the their online reading experience (Siragusa's paper).
